Mr. James Monroe Davis age 70 of Bimble, KY departed this life on Monday, July 27, 2015 in the Knox Co. Hospital. He was born on October 27, 1944 in Clay Co., KY and was the son of Andrew and Nellie (Hinkle) Davis and the husband of Peggy (Sturgill) Davis. Mr. Davis was a coal miner and enjoyed working on cars.
He is preceded in death by his parents, one son Danny Davis along with three brothers and one sister.
He is survived by his loving wife Peggy and his son, James Monroe Davis, Jr. and wife Patricia and his daughter Lisa Michelle Branson and husband Gary all of Bimble, KY. He also leaves behind many grandchildren and great grandchildren and nieces and nephews along with other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral services for Mr. James Monroe Davis will be conducted in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Herman Mills officiating. Pallbearers will be family & friends. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery at Flat Lick. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
Friends will be received at the Hampton Funeral Home on Wednesday from 12:00 until 2:00 p.m.
