James Winson Cox

Mr. James Winston Cox age 69 of Middlesboro, KY departed this life on Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at his home. He was the son of Bill and Nell (Disney) Cox born to them on March 20, 1946 in Barbourville. He was a self-employed carpenter and painter. He is preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Nell Cox, his wife Louvella Cox, an infant son, Conley and another son James Winston Cox, II along with some brothers and sisters.
Survivors include, his son Randy Cox and wife Jennifer of Bimble, and Denver Cox of Barbourville, one daughter Tammy Gibson of Woolum, a niece Angel Baker, two brothers, Kenneth Cox and wife Bea of Knoxville, TN and Everett Hensley and wife Ruth of Springfield, Ohio, two sisters, Diane Pemberton of Lexington, KY and Sharon Turner of Mississippi, and twelve grandchildren. He also leaves behind a host of many other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral services for Mr. Cox will be conducted in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, October 9, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Charles Eversole officiating. Pallbearers will be family & friends. He will be laid to rest in the Barbourville Cemetery. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
Friends may call at the Hampton Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m.
