James W. Cornett

Mr. James W. Cornett age 75 of Mackey Bend passed away on Sunday - August 7th, 2011 at his home. He was the son of the late Green & Bertha (Prichard) Cornett of Knox County born to them on April 25th, 1936 in Harlan County.
Mr. Cornett was a member of the New hope Baptist Church, and enjoyed fishing.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by an infant brother, and brother Teddy Cornett.
Left behind to mourn his passing is one son Jimmy Cornett & wife Terry of Taylor, MI, three brothers Bill Cornett of Lafollette, TN, Sterling Cornett, and David Cornett & wife Betty both of Barbourville, KY. One sister Nadine Kelly of Barbourville, KY. Three grandchildren Daniel & wife Bethany, Timothy & wife Leann, and Mikayle, one great grandchild Lillie, a sister-in-law Joann Cornett, plus a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral services for Mr. Cornett will be conducted on Wednesday - August 10th, 2011 @ 2:00 p.m. at the New Hope Baptist Church with the Rev. Dewayne Killion officiating. Pallbearers will be family. Burial will follow in the Prichard Cemetery at Mackey Bend.
