Mr. James C. Clark, age 80, of Barbourville, KY., passed away on Friday, February 1, 2013, in the Pineville Community Hospital. He was the son of the late John and Nora Hale Clark, born to them on May 8, 1932, in Knox County, Ky. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers, William O. Clark and Hobart Clark. He was the husband of Shirley Clark. Mr. Clark was a member of the East Barbourville Baptist Church; a volunteer member of the Barbourville Fire Department; a member of the Carbon Company Club; and an avid University of Kentucky Basketball fan. He was in the United States Army during the Korean War.
Mrs. James C. Clark is survived by his wife Shirley, one stepson, Rick Allen Estes and wife Janis, of Ross, Ohio, one stepdaughter, Elmyra E. Avery and husband Darryl, of Cincinnati, Ohio, one brother, Denver Clark, and wife Roweena, of Michigan, one sister-in-law, Flora Clark, of Barbourville, KY, and several nieces, nephews and friends to mourn his passing.
Friends of James C. Clark will be received at the Hampton Funeral Home on Monday, February 4, from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be Kenny Lowe, Dennis Clark, Rick Estes, Darryl Avery, Claude Thomas, and Danny Garrison.
