Mr. Jack Jordan age 64 of Cannon, KY departed this life on Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at his home. He was born on July 6, 1947 in Knox Co., KY. He was the son of Wesley Jordan and Ollie (Smith) Jordan born to them on July 6, 1947 in Knox Co., KY. On January 14, 1965 he united in marriage with Viola McBee and to this union four children were born. He was a member of the Dripping Springs Baptist Church for over thirty five years. He was a loving father and brother and grandfather. Jack loved being with his family, hunting, fishing and his dog Frisby. He loved to laugh and enjoy life.
He is preceded in death by his wife Viola, his parents Wesley and Ollie Jordan, one son Terry Jordan, a granddaughter Mollie, a sister Lizzie and a niece Shawna.
Survivors include three sons, Ronnie Jordan and wife Angela of Cannon, Mark Jordan and wife Bridgett of Gray and Bryant "Chico" Jordan and wife Barbara of Cannon, one daughter, Angie Wise of Cannon, Grandchildren, Josh, Becky, Tiffany, Wesley, Tanner, Terry, Ashley, Hannah and Kristen, nine sisters, Mazelene Hicks and the late Sam Hicks of Hamilton, Ohio, Faye Cochran and husband Ray of Oklahoma City, OK, Sandy Bruner and husband Wilbur of Hinkle, his twin sister Joyce Merida and husband Randall of Hinkle, Gracie Garland and husband William of Cannon, Carolyn Jones and the Rev. Arvil Jones of Hamilton, Ohio, Callie Young and husband Steve of Middletown, Ohio, Barbara Reynolds of Hinkle, Charlotte Cottongim and husband Danny of Harrodsburg, four brothers, Luke Jordan and wife Margaret of Hinkle, Darrell Jordan and wife Helen of Hinkle, Derrick Jordan and wife Martha of Gray and Patrick Jordan and wife Malette of Hinkle. He also leaves behind many nieces nephews and other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral services for Mr. Jordan will be conducted on Friday at 2:30 p.m. at the Dripping Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Arvil Jones, Rev. Ricky Broughton and Rev. Dewayne Smith officiating. Pallbearers will be family & friends. Honorary pallbearers will be his special friend Roger Rice and all his hunting and fishing buddies. Mr. Jordan will be laid to rest in the Callebs Creek Cemetery at Hinkle, KY. Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.
Friends may call at the Hampton Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. and at the Dripping Springs Baptist Church on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 2:30 p.m.
