Mrs. Irene Honeycutt age 74 of Walker, Ky. passed away Saturday April 21, 2007 in the U. K. Medical Center.
She was the daughter of Ross Gambrel and Cordie Patterson Gambrel born to them November 23, 1932 in Mills, Ky. Mrs. Honeycutt was married to Clarence Honeycutt on July 23 1965 and to this union two children were born. She was a member of Salem Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening, sewing and gospel music. Mrs. Honeycutt is preceded in death by her parents Ross and Cordie Patterson Gambrel , her husband Clarence Honeycutt, her brothers Asberry and Donald Lee Gambrel; half-brothers Robert and Harl Gambrel; half-sisters: Tressie Gambrel, Bertha Gambrel Hubbard and Pearlie Gambrel. SURVIVORS INCLUDE: Daughter: Jennie McNeil and husband Willie of Corbin, Ky. Son: Clarence Honeycutt, Jr. of Walker, Ky. Sisters: Esslene Sizemore and husband Ernest of Dayton, OH. Gennie Beth Dye and Sam of Flat Lick, Ky. Bobbie Cox of Flat Lick, Ky. Gracie Hubbard and husband Hobert of Arjay, Ky. Brothers: John Gambrel and wife Lois of Walker, Ky. Dan Gambrel of Flat Lick, Ky. Lloyd Gambrel and wife Edith of Ft. Wayne, Ind. Grandchildren: Caroline Marie Gambrel, Whitney Nicole Gambrel, Brittany Renee Gambrel, Katelyn Gambrel, Latasha Leann Gambrel. Funeral services for Mrs. Honeycutt will be conducted on Wednesday-April 25, 2007 at 2 p.m. in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Carnes and Rev. Bobby Abner and Rev. Teddy Collins officiating. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Burial will follow in the Davis Cemetery at Acorn Fork.
