Mrs. Ida Johnson, age 98 of Gray, Ky passed away on Friday – December 21, 2007 At her home, she was the daughter of the late James Owens and Betty (Sweet) Owens, born To them in Laurel Co. on January 01, 1909. Mrs. Johnson believed in the Baptist faith, she loved to care for people, she also loved To sew and knit, and she never meet a stranger. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband Walter Elam, And also her second husband Finley Johnson. One son Clinton Elam, Three daughters Irene Keene, Joy Watson, Pina Gilbert, and several brothers & sisters.
Survivors include: Two sons, Kenneth Elam & wife Elma of Stern, Ky., James Edward Elam & wife Mary Lou of London, Ky., Four daughters Norma Warren & husband Woodrow Of Girdler, Ky., Lola Linville of Williamsburg, Ky., Tina Jones & husband Haskel of Gray, Ky., Ethel Barnes of Girdler, Ky., Thirty five grandchildren and several great and great great grandchildren. Mrs. Johnson also leaves behind a host of relatives and friends to mourn her Passing. Funeral services for Mrs. Ida Johnson will be conducted on Monday- December 24, 2007 at 1:00p.m. In the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Lonnie Collett officiating. Pallbearers will Be Grandsons .Interment will be at the Marion Cemetery at Girdler, Hampton Funeral Home Is in charge of arrangements.
