Mr. Homer Gambrel
Mr. Homer Gambrel, age 74 of Flat Lick, Ky. passed away Saturday-January 20, 2007 in the Pineville Community Hospital. He was the widower of Ava (Weaver) Gambrel and the son of Dee Gambrel and Lettie (Baker) Gambrel of Knox Co. born to them on September 21, 1932 in Paint Lick, Ky. He was a retired Furniture Dealer and a member of the Binghamtown Baptist Church in Middlesboro, Ky.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife and three brothers, James Gambrel, Frank Gambrel and Burt Gambrel.
SURVIVORS INCLUDE:
Two sons: Douglas Gambrel of Lexington, Ky. &
Rick Gambrel of Lexington, Ky.
Four brothers: Virgil Gambrel and wife Helen of Rockmart, Ga.
Bobby R. Gambrel and wife Lana of Erlanger, Ky.
Ivan Gambrel of Flat Lick, Ky. &
Ronnie Gambrel and wife Mitzi of Flat Lick, Ky.
Mr. Gambrel also leaves behind a host of grandchildren and additional relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral services for Mr. Gambrel will be conducted on Tuesday-January 23, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Clark and Rev. Wayne Holder officiating. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Burial will follow in the Green Hills Cemetery in Middlesboro, Ky. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
