Mr. Henson Grubb age 95 of Barbourville, departed this life on Tuesday morning , June 11, 2013 in the Knox Co. Hospital. He was the widower of Beulah Grubb and the son of Lucas Grubb and Sarah Jackson Grubb born to them on July 18, 1917 in Knox Co., KY. He was a member of the Boone Height Pentecostal Church.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Beulah Grubb, two sons, Roscoe and Curtis Grubb, a daughter, Agnes Cook a granddaughter, Patsy Ann Smith and a son in law, Jamie Cobb, two infant grandchildren, five brothers, Malcom, Jesse, Bill, Tom and Johnny Grubb and three sisters, Bertha, Ollie and Carrie.
Survivors include his children, three sons Bo Grubb and wife Nita, Donald Grubb and wife Jeneen, Jerry Grubb and wife Darlene all of Barbourville, five daughters, Carolyn Bunch and husband Randy of Melvindale, Michigan, Magdalene Smith and husband Rev. Tip Smith, Wanda Messer and husband Tony, Sandy Cobb and Alesia McWilliams and Victor all of Barbourville, twenty five grandchildren, fifty three great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren, a special grandson and caregiver, Jacob McWilliams and his wife Milly. Mr. Grubb also leaves behind a host of many other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral services for Mr. Grubb will be conducted in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, June 14 , 2013 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Charles Henson and Rev. Ray Napier officiating. Pallbearers will be grandchildren and great grandchildren. Burial will follow in the Messer Cemetery at Bimble, KY. Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.
Friends will be received at the Hampton Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m.
