Helen Rose Davis

Mrs. Helen Rose Davis age 83 of Barbourville, departed this life on Thursday, March 28, 2013 in the Hillcrest Nursing Home in Corbin. She was the widow of James Monroe Davis and the daughter of Jesse and Rachel Lawson born to them in Knox Co. on May 26, 1929. She was a homemaker and believed in the Holiness faith. She is preceded in death by her husband James and her parents, Jesse & Rachel Lawson, one son, Timothy Russ, one sister, Myrtle Lawson and one brother, Jack Lawson and two grandchildren, Rachel Davis and Charles Rickett.
Survivors include three sons, Jesse Davis of Artemus, Terry Davis and wife Lois of Flat Lick and Jack Davis and wife Tena of Artemus, one daughter Joan Hamilton and husband Ledford of Artemus, one brother, Claude Lawson and wife Bernice of Barbourville and fifteen grandchildren, twenty one great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Mrs. Helen Davis will be conducted in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, March 30, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Glenn Collins officiating. Pallbearers will be family & friends. Mrs. Davis will be laid to rest in the Sowders Cemetery at Artemus. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.

Friends will be received at the Hampton Funeral Home on Friday evening from
6:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 1:00 p.m.
