Mrs. Hazel Johnson McDonald age 90 of Bimble, KY departed this life on Monday evening, November 3, 2014at her home. She was the daughter of Kindred Casey Hart and Louemma (Lucas) Hart and was born to them on September 9, 1924 in Letcher Co. Mrs. McDonald was a member of the Barbourville Church of God and was a homemaker.
Early in life she united in marriage with Lilburn (Johnny) Johnson and to this union six children were born. Later she was married to Lawrence McDonald who precedes her in death along with her first husband Lilburn. In addition to her parents and husbands she is also preceded in death by ten sisters and five brothers.
Left behind to mourn her passing is her four sons, James R. Johnson of Winchester, Frank R. Johnson and wife Janice of Winchester, George R. Johnson and wife Maxine of Richmond and Timothy R. Johnson and wife Lisa of Winchester, two daughters, Mary Wilder and husband Joe of Bimble and Nancy Johnson of Fort Valley, Georgia, a special daughter in law, Belinda Sanchez, eleven grandchildren, James Johnson, Randy Johnson, Amy Sanchez, John Johnson, Doug Johnson, Josh Johnson, Melissa Johnson, Michael Wilder, Michelle Wilder Mills, Ashley Wilder and Kirsten Collier, eleven great grandchildren, Sierra, Aubry, Sarah, Seth, Ella, Alley, Anthony, Sean, Kara, Kingston, Zane and a special great granddaughter, Jaici Smith. Mrs. McDonald also leaves behind a host of many other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral services for Mrs. Hazel Johnson McDonald will be conducted in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, November 7, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Sylvester Dunn officiating. Pallbearers will be Grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be, staff of the Professional Home Health, Knox Co. Hospital and Dr. Larry Warren. Burial will follow in the Barbourville Cemetery. Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.
Friends will be received at the Hampton Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 1:00 p.m.
