Mr. Harvey Lee Brown age 51 died Saturday May 9, 2015 in Scalf Kentucky. He was the son of the late Dewey and Myrtle Stansberry Brown born to them on January 10, 1964 in Bell County, Kentucky.
Mr. Brown was a well-known carpenter and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He united in marriage to Melinda Hobbs Brown on May 28, 1988 and to this union one child was born.
He is preceded in death by his parents Dewey and Myrtle Brown; Four Brothers: Denver Brown, M.D. Brown, Chester Brown, and Gary Wayne Brown; Three sisters: Judy Ann Smith, Wyoma Brown and Dorothy Brown.
He is survived by his daughter, Tiffany Lee Collins and husband Cody of Barbourville; one granddaughter, Harlee Grace Collins who was her pappaws pride and joy. Four sisters: Elaine Gray and husband Garrett Gray of Flat Lick, Kentucky; Christine Brown and Fiancé David Bunch of Hickory Corners, Michigan; Gladys Hobbs and husband Dempsy of Scalf, Kentucky and Barbara Sue Gray of Flat Lick, Kentucky; Two brothers, Dewey Brown and wife Jacquline of Scalf, Kentucky; Jimmy Brown and wife Michelle of Gray and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and dear friends left behind to mourn his passing.
Funeral services for Mr. Harvey Lee Brown will be conducted in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Steven Brown, Rev. Stoney Brown and Rev. Chester Sizemore officiating. Burial will follow in the Mud Lick Cemetery at Scalf with Devin Hobbs, John Michael Hobbs, Dicky Lee Brown, Jerry Hobbs, Justin Smith, Randy Hobbs, David Hobbs, Richard Brown, Denver Brown and Dewey Brown Jr. serving as pallbearers. There will be a balloon release following the committal service, performed by Mr. Browns dear granddaughter, Harlee in honor of her pappaw.
Friends will be received at the Hampton Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 after 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. and on Wednesday after 10:00 A.M. until the funeral hour at 2:00.
