Mr. Harrison "Glen" Campbell, age 79 of Barbourville, departed this life on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 in the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington. He was the son of James and Henrietta Buchanan Campbell, born to them on March 17, 1935 in Barbourville. Mr. Campbell retired from the National Standards Company and was a well known Knox County farmer, continuing to farm and raise cattle until shortly before his death. He believed in the Baptist faith and was a member of the River Baptist Church. On September 1, 1956, he united in marriage to Alma Faye Taylor and to this union two children were born.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, James and Howard Campbell; his sisters, Clara Campbell Britton, Mary Elizabeth Campbell and Edith June Campbell.

Mr. Campbell is survived by his loving wife, Alma Campbell of Barbourville; his son, Jerry Campbell and wife Jerri Lynn of Barbourville; His daughter, Glenda Hinkle and husband Larry of Barbourville; His sisters, Pauline Campbell Williams of Barbourville, and Fannie Jones of London. He was blessed with four grandchildren: James Denvil Hinkle, Jennifer Lynn Hinkle Collins, Jessica Nicole Hinkle Kidwell and Amy Elizabeth Campbell Gray; Six great grandchildren: Katilyn, Dylan, Zachary, Makayla, Mia and Matilda; A special nephew, Wesley Ray Campbell of Lexington and a special brother-in-law, Rev. Denvil Taylor.

Funeral services for Harrison "Glen" Campbell will be conducted in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 12:00 noon with Rev. Denvil Taylor and Rev. Claude Gilbert officiating. Burial will follow in the Barbourville City Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

Friends will be received at the Hampton Funeral Home on Friday, January 16, 2015 after 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. and on Saturday after 10:00 A.M. until the funeral hour at 12:00 noon.
