Grover Stewart

Mr. Grover “Britt” Stewart age 87 of Green Road, KY passed away on Sunday, November 15, 2009 at his home. He was the widower of Dorothy (Smallwood) Stewart and the son of Garrison & Margaret (Smith) Stewart born to them on April 15, 1922. Mr. Stewart was a member of the Hughes Hill Holiness Church and enjoyed coon hunting.
He was preceded in death by his parents Garrison & Margret Stewart, his wife Dorothy Stewart, five brothers Lawrence, Willie, Russell, Noah, and Oakley Stewart and two sisters Edna Mills, and Ethel Smallwood.
Left behind to mourn his passing is one brother Otis Stewart & wife Louise of Manchester, KY, one sister Emma Lee Bargo & husband Denver of Girdler, KY along with a host of many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Stewart will be conducted on Wednesday, November 18th, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Whitehead officiating. Burial will follow in the Hampton Cemetery at Girdler with nephews and great nephews serving as pallbearers. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening at the Hampton Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at 2:00 p.m.
