Goldie McBride departed this life at the Hazard ARH Hospital on Thursday, March 17, 2016 being 88 years, 2 months and 23 days of age. She was born on December 23, 1927 in Krypton, Kentucky to the late Andrew Jackson Fields and the late Ella Ann Colwell Fields. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband William D. McBride and brother Mack Fields. Goldie was a lover of nature and enjoyed being outdoors in her garden and tending to her flower beds. She was a member of the Lutheran faith and was dedicated to her church. She often tried her luck at the casinos and proved to be very lucky.
She leaves behind to mourn her passing her daughter Ruth Ann Hoffman and husband Robert of Chavies, Kentucky, her son James Michael McBride of Sarasota, Florida; three grandchildren: Donna Bieling and husband Jeff, Betty Wilson and husband Kenny, Bobbie Colwell and husband Tim; five great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
As was her request Goldie will be cremated and laid to rest beside her husband in Brimley, Michigan at a later date.
