Goldie Jackson

Mrs. Goldie Jackson age 63 of LaFollette, TN departed this life on Sunday, February 21, 1010 in the St Mary’s Hospital in LaFollette. She was born on November 1, 1946 in Knox Co., KY and was the daughter of John & Mable Broughton. Mrs. Jackson believed in the Baptist faith. She had been a seamstress at Warner’s here in Barbourville.
She is preceded in death by her parents, John & Mable Broughton, one brother, Wayne Broughton and three sisters, Thelma Partin, Connie Harris and Joanna Broughton.
Those left behind to mourn her passing is her former husband Ronnie Jackson, two sons, Terry Jackson and wife Teresa of Mt. Vernon and Barry Jackson and wife Michelle of Richmond, one daughter, Rhonda Hatfield and husband Daniel of Barbourville, seven brothers, Eddie Dean Broughton and wife Erselene of Barbourville, Kenneth Broughton and wife Vernice of Dearborn, Michigan, Russell Broughton and wife Ida of Gray, Teddy Broughton and wife Sherri of Barbourville, Eddie Arnold Broughton and wife Glenna of Louisville, Danny Broughton and wife Rosemary of Barbourville and Johnny Broughton and wife Susie also of Barbourville, two sisters, Kathy Broughton of Barbourville and Geraldine Burns and husband Fordie of Manchester, six grandchildren along with a host of many other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral services for Mrs. Goldie Jackson will be conducted in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Scott Phillips, Rev. Bill Wolfe and Rev. Jeffrey Branum officiating. Pallbearers will be family & friends. Burial will follow in the Hammons Cemetery at Girdler, KY. Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.

Friends will be received in the Hampton Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 1:00 p.m.
