Goldia Messer

Mrs. Goldia Messer age 59, of Dewitt, Ky.  passed away Friday-February 16, 2007 in the Knox County Hospital.  She was the wife of McKinley Messer they were united in marriage on December 18, 1965. Mrs. Messer was the daughter of Leffel Partin and Nadine Adams Partin born to them March 30, 1947 in Knox Co. Ky.  She attended the Salt Gum Baptist Church. Mrs. Messer's greatest love was for her grandchildren.

Mrs. Messer is preceded in death by her father Leffel Partin and sister Geraldine Maiden.

McKinley Messer, Jr. and wife Lillie of Dewitt, Ky.

Sisters:                        Shirley Gibson and husband John, Jr. of Dayton, Oh.

Thursey Belcher of Walker Park, Ky

Carrie Swafford and husband TJ of Walker Park, Ky.

Gail Centers and husband Charlie of Barbourville, Ky.

Nicki Hammons and husband Ricky of Gray, Ky.

Brothers:                     Robert Partin and wife Penny of Poplar Creek, Ky.

Brother-in-law:     Carl Maiden of Walker Park, Ky.

Grandchildren:            Stephanie Messer, Cynthia Messer, Jessica Messer, William Messer, Waylon Messer, Austin Messer, Hunter Cornelius and McKinzie Messer.  A very special caregiver Debbie Mills  Mrs. Messer also leaves behind a host of friends and relatives to mourn her passing.

Funeral services for Mrs. Messer will be conducted on Sunday-February 18, 2007 at 2 p.m. in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kennon Roark, Rev. Vernon Morris, and Rev. Lonnie Collett. Pallbearers will be Wendell Bond, Wade Walker, Johnny Broughton, Sammy Carnes, Scotty Partin, Robbie Partin, Doug Mills, and Mike Gibson. Burial will follow in the Adams Cemetery at Walker Park, Ky.  Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
