Mr. Glen Collins, Jr., age 63, of Hamersville, Ohio departed this life on Friday, February 2, 2018 in Hospice of Cincinnati East, Cincinnati, Ohio. He was the son of Glen and Odessie (Patterson) Collins, born to them on January 19, 1955 in Knox County, Kentucky. Glen was a proud Veteran of the United States Navy, retired from the Internal Revenue Service and a member of the Christian faith.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Odessie (Patterson) Collins and his sister Kathy (Collins) Angel.
Left behind to mourn his passing are his brother James Collins and wife Karen of Hamersville, Ohio, sisters Sandra (Collins) Stockton of Amelia, Ohio, and Effie (Collins) Richter and husband James of Bethel, Ohio. He leaves behind many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, one great great nephew, and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral services for Mr. Glen Collins, Jr. will be conducted on Monday, February 5, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. in the Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home Chapel in Barbourville, Kentucky, with Reverend Glenn Collins officiating. Pallbearers will be Mark Stockton, Jimmie Stockton, Eric Richter, Damen Gregory, James Collins and Walt Disney. Honorary pallbearers are the staff, nurses and doctors of Anderson Mercy Hospital and the staff, nurses and doctors of Hospice of Cincinnati. He will be laid to rest in the Farley Cemetery at Himyar, Kentucky. Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements. Friends will be received at the funeral home Monday from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of service at 3:00 p.m.
