Mr. Gilbert Mills, Sr age 58, of Scalf, KY passed away Friday March 14, 2008 in the Knox County Hospital. Gilbert was the son of the late Charlie and Mealie Mills born to them on July 31, 1949 in Knox County, KY. Gilbert attended Jeffs Creek Baptist Church.
His parents and one brother Lynberg Mills preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife Imogene Bingham Mills, his former wife Lettie Grubb Mills and to this union five children were born Gilbert Mills, Jr. and wife Barbara, Randall Mills and wife Betty, Rondoll Mills and Fiancé Christie Branson, Christopher Mills, Patricia Rice and husband Jim all of Scalf, KY. three stepchildren Glennis Mills and wife Priscilla, Donald Ray Mills, Linda Mills and husband David all of Scalf, KY. one brother Jimmy Mills and one sister Mary Mills both of Harlan, KY. five Grandchildren Ericka Mills, Luke Mills,
Brittany Rice, Carl Richard Burnett, Ollis Burnett and several step grandchildren one half brother R.J. of Phoenix, Arizona two half sisters Sudie West of London, KY and Wilma of Phoenix, Arizona . Plus a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral services for Mr. Gilbert Mills, Sr. will be conducted on Tuesday March 18, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with Reed Murphy and Tip Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Clark Mills Cemetery at Turkey Fork with friends and family serving as pallbearers.
