Mr. George Rondall Smith, age 79, of 3300 Rt. 6, Barb0urville, Kentucky the son of the late George Frank Smith and Lowell Sears Smith, was born in Knox County on January 23, 1930 and departed this life at his home on July 2, 2009.
Mr. Smith was a member of the Swan Pond Baptist Church a Veteran of the United States Army, was a Fabricator, loved Gardening, picking Black Berries, Raspberries, Walnuts and Ginseinging.
He was preceded in death by his Parents, his wife Terry Loraine one daughter: Susan Smith and dog Snuggles.
Survivors include four Daughters, Loraine Staley and husband Bim of Jones, Michigan; Patrica Kennedy, East Bernstead, Michigan. Mrs, Debra Holden and Husband Randy,; Columbia Tennessee, and Dawn Smith , Wayne ; Michigan.; two Sons, Mr. Robert Smith and Wife Norma Riverside, California,; and George Frank Smith, Barbourville, Ky.; one Brother, Mr. Willfred Smith and wife Mildred, Barbourville, Kentucky,; Seventeen Grandchildren and 16 Great Grandchildren. Mr. Smith also leaves a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral Services will be conducted in the Chapel of the Hampton Funeral Home on Monday July 6, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Denvil Taylor officiating. Interment will be in the Barbourville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Grandsons. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
