Mr. Garrett Williamson age 87 of Hinkle, KY departed this life on Monday, December 15, 2014 in the Knox Co. Hospital. He was born on April 19, 1927 the son of Clark and Bertha (Callebs) Williamson. He was a member of the Beech Springs Baptist Church . He had worked in construction and was a sawmill operator.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Clark & Bertha Williamson and his wife Dorothy Messer Williamson, five brothers, Gaston, Otis, Ray, Corb and Leonard Williamson and three sisters, Opal Smith, Lela Broughton and Sylvia Beddow and a grandson Michael Garrett Williamson.
Survivors include, four sons, Ronnie Williamson and wife Darlene of Hinkle, Randle Williamson and wife Judy of Gray, Larry Williamson and wife Carolyn of Gray, Dennis Williamson and wife Karen of Hinkle, three daughters, Charlotte Fields and husband E.C. of Hinkle, Ermalene Hubbard and husband Larry of Barbourville and Arlene Warfield and husband Larry Wayne of Barbourville, one brother, Lester Williamson and wife Bobbie Lou of Ohio and two sisters, Trula Caudill of Ohio and Juanita Engle of Hinkle, twelve grandchildren, Tonya Fields and husband Robbie, Ronald Williamson and wife Amy, Jake Williamson, Lu Fields, Robin Smith and husband Doyle, Jerrell Williamson and wife Brittany, Christy Johnson and husband Will, Brian Williamson and wife Lisa, Josh Williamson and wife Kayla, Rashelle Hubbard, Nick Williamson and Hope Warfield, thirteen great grandchildren, Taylor, Kaylee and Abbigail Smith, Patrick Williamson, Madison Gray, Cameron, Miley, Ryann, Chevy, Brian, Jr. and Alyssa Williamson, Addyson Lunsford and Hunter Gray, a sister in law, Lily Mae Williamson, a brother in law, Eli Broughton and a special friend and companion, Mary Wynn.
Funeral services for Mr. Garrett Williamson will be conducted on Saturday, December 20, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Alvin Dunn and Rev. Ken Merida officiating. Pallbearers will be Brian and Josh Williamson, Robbie Roberts, Doyle Smith and Nick Williamson. Honorary pallbearers will be, Ronald , Jerrell and Jake Williamson, Jimmy Wynn and Charlie Hoskins. Mr. Williamson will be laid to rest in the Clark Williamson Cemetery at Hinkle. Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.
Friends will be received at the Hampton Funeral Home on Friday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 1:00 p.m.
