Mr. Fred Smith, age 75 of Clarks Branch departed this life on Thursday, October 4, 2007 in the Barbourville Nursing Home. He was the father of Marjorie McKnight, and the widower of Lila Jean Peasley. He was born on September 4, 1932, to the late Samuel & Mary (Mills) Smith of Knox co. Mr. Smith was a former Automotive worker, Farmer, an had worked at E K Woods In Barbourville, Ky. Mr. Smith believed in the Baptist Faith. He is preceded in death by Seven brothers & sisters.
Left behind to mourn his passing: His daughter Marjorie McKnight of Camden, DE, Three Grandchildren Travis & Austin Of TX, and Kristin of Camden, DE. One Sister Molly Bellew & husband Herman of Baltimore, Maryland. A step daughter, Sue Harrison of Carlisle, Maryland and a step-son James Hagan”Jimmy” & wife Sue of London, Ky. Fred also leaves behind a host of many other relatives and friends to mourn his passing. Funeral services for Mr. Fred Smith will be conducted on Tuesday, October 9, 2007 At 11:00 a.m. in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Bright Officiating and remarks by Marjorie McKnight. Pallbearers will be Friends & Family. Burial will be in the Smith Farm Cemetery At Clarks Branch. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
