Fred Holt

Mr. Fred Holt, age 80 of Artemus, passed away on Monday, October 5, 2015 at his home. He was born on March 19, 1935 a son of the late Ed and Ethel Reynolds Holt. Fred united in marriage to Nannie Black Holt and to this union two children were born. He was a member of the Apple Grove Baptist Church and attended the Old Ark Church of God.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 41 years, Nannie Holt.
He is survived by his children: Bill Gibson of Knoxville Tennessee and Betty Gibson of Artemus: One Brother: John Holt and wife Alice of Altoona, Florida: One sister; Nettie Parks of Artemus: His grandchildren: Mark Gibson, B.J. Gibson, Michael Gibson and Jimmy Gibson and wife Sherry: His great grandchildren: James & Jimmy Gibson and several others. Fred is also survived by many other relatives and friends left behind to mourn his passing.
Funeral arrangements for Mr. Fred Holt will be conducted in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at 2:00 P.M with Rev. Charles Eversole and Rev. Charles Hensley officiating. Burial will follow in the Barbourville City Cemetery with his grandsons and nephews serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Denvil Ledington, Marshal Ramey, Brian Ramsey, Raymond Elliot and his brotherhood at the Old Ark House of God.
Friends may call at the Hampton Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 after 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. and on Thursday, October 8, 2015 after 10:00 A.M. until the funeral hour at 2:00
