Mrs. Frankie Peavley age 88 of Gray, Kentucky was born in Laurel County on November 16, 1919 and went to be with the Lord on Saturday May 10, 2008. She was the daughter of the late Fred and Mary Etta Pickard Balsinger. On Feburary 11, 1933 she was united in marriage to Mr. Tom Peavley and to this union ten Children were born. Along with her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband Tom on December 25, 1991, two sisters, Mary Rose and Lillie Scalf, one brother Gene Pickard, one daughter-in-law Sewelline Peavley and two sons-in-law, Harold Jackson and Floyd Anderson. Mrs. Peavley was a member of the Mt Pleasant Baptist Church for 74 years. She was a homemaker, she loved her Lord, her Church, cooking, quilting and her family.
She is survived by her children, Flossie Anderson of Gray, Kentucky, Jimmy Peavley of Ohio, Bobby Peavley of Gray, Kentucky, Lillie Jackson of Gray, Kentucky, Hazel Owens and husband Dale of Gray, Kentucky, Marjorie Benge of Corbin, Kentucky, Tommy Peavley and wife Vera of Barbourville, Kentucky, Barbara Warren of Corbin, Kentucky, Bonnie Hubbs and husband Russ of Gray, Kentucky, Gary Peavley and wife Barbara of Gray, Kentucky, two sisters, Henrietta Elliott of Bimble, Kentucky and Unice France of Connersville, Indiana, twenty five grand children, twenty six great grand children and four great great grandchildren. Mrs. Peavley also leaves behind a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing. Funeral Services for Mrs. Peavley will be conducted in the Chapel of the Hampton Funeral Home on Wednesday May 14, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Tony Jackson and Rev. Herman Mills officiating. Pallbearers will be grandsons. Honorary Pallbearers will be friends and neighbors. Burial will be in the Anderson-Campbell Cemetery at Gray, KY. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements. The family will receive friends Tuesday at Hampton Funeral Home from 6:00 pm until 9:00 p.m. and on Wednesday at Hampton Funeral Home from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of services at 2:00 p.m.
