Frances "Penny" Gail Hall (nee Pinner), 73, of Dayton, Ohio (formerly of Centreville, Virginia), passed away on Monday, July 25, 2016. She was a resident of St. Leonard's Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Penny was born in Asheville, North Carolina to parents James Robert Pinner and Anna Launa Pinner (nee Morgan) on February 9, 1943. Her husband of 50 years was Gary Wayne Hall. She was preceded in death by both her parents and her husband. She was formerly a civilian employee for the United States Department of Defense at the Pentagon, in Arlington, Virginia. She was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis at the young age of 29, and was able to work as a school bus driver in Fairfax County, Virginia for years, before her disability led to early retirement.
Penny was survived by her children Dr. Phillip Keith Hall (Kristine), Erik Morgan Hall (Susan), and Diana Lynn Hall Whittaker (Brent), and grandchildren Kelsey Elizabeth Hall, Joshua Lucas Hall, William Preston Hall, Anthony Ryan Hall and Zachary Morgan Hall.
A viewing will be at Hampton Funeral Home in Barbourville, Kentucky on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at 10:00 am. A graveside service will be held at 12:00 noon, at the Davis Cemetery, Barbourville, Kentucky. She asked that, in lieu of flowers, donations could be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society (www.nationalmssociety.org).
