Florence Brown

Mrs. Florence Brown, age 64 of Corbin, Ky. departed this life on Monday, February 12, 2007 at her home. She was born on January 11, 1943 in Knox County. to Bowman and Amanda (Hobbs) Brown. Mrs. Brown was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She is preceded in death by her parents, Bowman and Amanda Brown.

Survivors include: Her former husband Lonzo Brown of Scalf, Ky., four daughters Angela and Wendell Barrett of Corbin, Ky., Patty Lowe of Corbin, Ky., Kathy Stamper and fiancé Josh King of Barbourville, Ky. and Susan and Leonard Swanson of London, Ky., two sons, Lonzo, Brown Jr. and Joseph and April Brown of Harrogate, TN., four brothers, Charlie and Diana Brown of Corbin, Ky., L.B. Brown of Frankfort, Ky., David and Janet Brown of Barbourville, Ky. and Everett Brown of Bimble, Ky., five sisters, Wilma Jean Sizemore of Flat Lick, Ky., Carolyn and David Simpson of Frankfort, Ky., Maxine and Dean Gambrel of Scalf, Ky., Betsy and Bill Smith of London, Ky. and Celia and Lark Baker of Scalf, Ky., twelve grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.  Mrs. Brown also leaves behind a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

Funeral services for Mrs. Florence Brown will be conducted on Saturday, February 17, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Owen Smith and Rev. Isaac Profitt officiating. Pallbearers will be family & friends. Honorary pallbearers will be the staff of Tri County Hospice. Burial will be in the Brown Cemetery at Scalf, Ky.
