Mrs. Ethel Linville, age 92 of 207 Black St. Barbourville, Ky. was born on October 12, 1914 and departed this life on Tuesday, August 7, 2007 in the Knox Co. Hospital. She was the daughter of Gilmer Cook and Draxie (Browning) Cook born to them on October 12, 1914 in Blair, West Virginia. Mrs. Linville was the widow of Raymond Linville. Mrs. Linville was preceded in death by her husband and three brothers in addition to her parents.
Survivors for Mrs. Linville include her daughter Melva Carey and husband Jerry of Barbourville, Ky., her son Raymond Linville and wife Shirley of Knoxville, Tn., five grandchildren: Patti Wilson, Jennifer Worley, Jean Ann Russell, Sharon Rhea Mack and William Thomas Linville in addition to six great grandchildren to mourn her passing. Funeral services for Mrs. Linville will be conducted Thursday-August 9, 2007 at 7 p.m. in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Shane Nickell officiating. Graveside services will be conducted on Friday-August 10, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at the Barbourville Cemetery. Family will serve as pallbearers. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
