Mrs. Ethel Hobbs age 76 of Flat Lick passed away Saturday at the Oak Tree Hospital in Corbin. She was born on December 20, 1933 in Knox County to Joe and Liddie Marlow Gray who preceded her in death. She was united in marriage to the late Virgil Hobbs. She was a Homemaker and a member of the Flat Lick Pentacostal Church.

Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by several sisters, brothers and one son in law Charles wombles.

Other survivors include one son Donald Hobbs of Flat Lick, two daughters: Barbara Ann Wombles, Patty Queener and husband Ray all of Himyar. One brother: Dan Gray and wife Juanita of Tennessee, one sister: Gussie Gray of Flat Lick, nine grandchildren Christy Martin and husband Donald, Shannon Nicole Harkins and husband Wayne, Jessica Partin, Charles Andrew Wombles II, Daniel Queener, Charlene Queener, Allie Queener, Jennifer Queener and Donnie Taylor Hobbs seventeen great grandchildren plus a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

Funeral services for Ethel Hobbs will be conducted on Tuesday November 23, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Don Smith and Rev. Bill Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in the Hiley Carnes Cemetery with Ronnie Gray, Daniel Queener, Nephews and grandsons serving as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be Oak Tree Hospital ICU Staff.

The family will receive friends at Hampton Funeral Home on Monday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m.
