Ernest Bingham, Sr

Mr. Ernest Bingham Sr, age 66 of Flat Lick, KY, passed away Thursday – May 1st, 2009 at the Knox County General Hospital. He was the son of the late Chester & Gracie (Gray) Bingham of Knox County born to them on December 5th, 1942.
Mr. Bingham was a former coal miner for Richland Coal Company, and believed in the Baptist faith; he enjoyed hunting, fishing, ginseng and spending time with his grandkids.
He is preceded in death by his parents Chester & Gracie Bingham, and one brother Franklin Bingham.
Left to mourn his passing: one son Ernie Bingham of Heidrick, KY, one daughter Shelia Hinkle & husband Bill of Barbourville, KY, four brothers Rosco Bingham & wife Loretta of Flat Lick, KY, Lowell Bingham of Barbourville, KY, Clifford Bingham of Lincoln Park Michigan, Roy Lee Bingham of Detroit, Michigan, two sisters Mattie Mae Hamilton & husband James of Barbourville, KY, and Beatrice Allen of Dewitt, KY, four Grandchildren, Austin Dewayne Hensley, Bethany Rachael Hensley, Nathan Conley Hensley, and Chloe Beth Bingham. Mr. Bingham also leaves behind a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral services for Mr. Ernest Bingham will be in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel, on Saturday – May 3rd, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. with the Rev. Jabe Smith officiating. Pallbearers will be family & friends. Burial will follow in the Carnes Cemetery at Hinkle Branch. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
