Mrs. Emma Price age 64 of Round Lake Beach, Illinois died Friday, January 20, 2012 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 8, 1947 in Pineville, KY to Henry A. and Hester R. (Bain) Cook. On September 11, 1965, she married Tom Price in Pineville, KY. Emma lived in KY before moving to Chicago in 1965. Since 1985, she lived in the Round Lake area. A homemaker for most of her life, Emma was a talented cook. She was a member of Calvary Christian Center Church in Lake Villa and enjoyed being active in the church choir. Emma loved her church and they loved her in return. A favorite activity was playing Wii video games with her family, and she especially enjoyed competing with her family playing Wii bowling. She adored the companionship of her "granddog" Milo.
Survivors include her husband Tom, two children, a son Tommy Price and wife Tammy and a daughter Nicole Price all of Round Lake, four grandchildren, Samantha, Kyle, Emily and Sidney, a great grandson Carson, four brothers, Roger and Sue Cook of Rock Falls, Illinois, Donnie & Karen Cook of Round Lake, Ben Cook and Eugene Cook both of Round Lake Beach, a special sister Lori Bauman and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father on October 3, 1983 and her mother on January 17, 2002.
Funeral services for Mrs. Emma Price will be held on Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at Justen's Round Lake Funeral Home in Round Lake, Illinois. Visitation will be from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m. Following the service the visitation will resume until 9:00 p.m.
A funeral service will also be held on Friday at 12:00 noon at the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel in Barbourville. Friends will be received on Thursday evening from 4:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 12:00 noon. Mrs. Price will be laid to rest in the Barbourville Cemetery. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.
