Mrs. Emily Tuttle age 81 of Corbin, KY departed this life on Wednesday, November 14, 2012 in the Baptist Regional Medical Center in Corbin. She was the widow of James Tuttle and the daughter of W.M. Smith and Nancy Ann Brummett Smith. She was born in Knox Co. on June 4, 1931 and was a homemaker. Mrs. Tuttle was a member of the Greenroad Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband James Tuttle, her parents, W.M. and Nancy Smith, two brothers, Solomon C. Smith & John Smith, three sisters, Virdie Garrison, Ruby Warner and Evelyn Smith.
Left behind to mourn her passing, one son, David Tuttle and wife Judy of Brookville, Indiana, a daughter, Linda Jones and husband Michael of Corbin, three brothers, James William Smith of Covington,, KY, Frank P. Smith of London, KY and Roy Richard Smith of Jarvis, KY, three sisters, Mary Belle Swafford of Cincinnati, Ohio, Rebecca Stallings of Covington, KY and Eva Mae Smith of Jarvis, KY. She also leaves behind a host of many other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral services for Mrs. Emily Tuttle will be conducted in the Hampton Funeral Home chapel on Sunday, November 18, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Owen Smith officiating. Pallbeareres will be nephews of Mrs. Tuttle. She will be laid to rest in the Hammons Cemetery at Greenroad. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
Friends will be received at the Hampton Funeral Home on Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m.
