Mrs. Elva Smith age 92 of Cape Coral, Florida formerly of Girdler, KY departed this life on Monday, March 16, 2009 in Florida. She was the widow of Noah Smith and the daughter of Henry and Pearl (Callebs) Dickey born to them on February 19, 1917 in Knox Co., KY.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Pearl Dickey and her husband Noah Smith, two brothers, Joe Dickey and Luther Dickey and two sisters, Bertha Lee Carmichael and Mary Jane Dickey.
Survivors include one son, Robert Henry Smith and wife Alice Jean of Cape Coral, Florida, one brother, William Dickey of Michigan, one sister, Fannie Myers of Nashville, TN, two grandchildren, Robert Paul Smith and wife Linda and Ronald Noah Smith, two great grandchildren, Eric Smith and Allison Smith. Mrs. Smith also leaves behind a host of many other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral services for Mrs. Elva Smith will be conducted on Saturday March 21, 2009 at 4:00 p.m. in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel. Pallbearers will be family & friends. Burial will be in the Hammons Cemetery at Girdler, KY. Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 4:00 p.m.
