Elva Mae (Daniels) Kunkel

Mrs. Elva Mae "Pat" Kunkel age 86 of Barbourville, KY departed this life on Saturday, August 13, 2011 at her home. She was the widow of Clements Kunkel and the daughter of Charlie Daniels and Ninnie (Stacey) Daniels. She was born in Girdler, KY on November 17, 1924 and was a member of the Apple Grove Baptist Church. She was a retired seamstress from Warners in Barbourville where she had worked for thirty two years.
She is preceded in death by her husband Clements Kunkel, one son Mike Kunkel, her parents, Charlie and Ninnie Daniels, four brothers, Virgil Daniels, Rondell Daniels, Russell Daniels and John A. Daniels and one sister, Imogene Chadwell.
Survivors include her granddaughter, Lisa Wilburn and husband Shawn of Barbourville and her grandson Jerry Michael Kunkel and wife Megan of London, two great grandchildren, Michael Shawn Wilburn and Adam Dalton Wilburn of Barbourville and expecting a great granddaughter Elise Arabella Kunkel, her daughter in law, Ceciline Kunkel of Barbourville one sister, June Damron of Sarasota, Florida and one brother Marvin Daniels of Louisville, KY. Mrs. Kunkel also leaves behind a host of many other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral services for Mrs. Elva Kunkel will be conducted on Wednesday, August 17, 2011
at 2:00 p.m. in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Bobby Lawson and Rev. Justin Morris officiating. Pallbearers will be John Bill Prichard, Bill Brown, Bill Brown, Jr., Michael Fry, Dr. James West and Harold Broughton. Honorary pallbearers will be family & friends. Burial will follow in the Hampton Cemetery at Girdler, KY. Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.
Friends will be received at the Hampton Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m .
