Mrs. Elizabeth Doolin age 70 of Barbourville went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 4, 2015. She was born in Harlan, KY on March 16, 1945 and was the daughter of Anderson and Nicie (Bargo) Mills. She was a member of the Heidrick Holiness Church and was a homemaker. Elizabeth enjoyed shopping with her daughters, spending time with family and singing at church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Anderson and Nicie Mills, her husband Larry Doolin, two sisters, Ollie Jean Mills and Vanessa Smith and one grandchild.
Left behind to mourn her passing, two sons, Jess Williams and wife Tracy of Indianapolis, Indiana and James Michael Doolin and wife Carol of Heidrick, four daughters, Sheila Gray and husband Mark of Boone Height, Anita Lewis and husband Danny of Barbourville, Tammy Rapp and husband Jeff of Indianapolis, Indiana and Sherry Gilliam of Corbin, five brothers, J.T. Burnette and wife Maxine of Indian Creek, R.M. Mills and wife Bonnie of Swan Pond, Clarence Mills and wife Connie of Artemus, Anderson Mills, Jr. and wife Geraldine of London and Jimmy Ray Mills and wife Mary of Florida. She also leaves behind twelve grandchildren and three great grandchildren and a special friend Bill Strunk of London. A host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends are also left to mourn her passing.
Funeral services for Mrs. Elizabeth Doolin will be conducted in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Tommy Frazier, Rev. Duke Hammons and Rev. Jimmy Lee officiating. Pallbearers will be, David Mills, Brian Smith, James Hubbs, A.J. Mills, Travis Mills and Brian J. Mills. Honorary pallbearers will be all members of the Heidrick Holiness Church and all her grandchildren. She will be laid to rest in the Barbourville Cemetery. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
Friends will be received at the Hampton Funeral Home on Friday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m.
