Eleanor Stewart

Ms. Eleanor Stewart age 58 of Gray, KY passed away on Monday - June 4th, 2012 in the Jewish Hospital in Louisville, KY. She was the daughter of the late Solomon Crit & Helen Bernice (Hergis) Stewart born to them on August 19th, 1953 in Knox County. Eleanor believed in the Baptist faith and was a member of the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. Eleanor was a homemaker and as a young lady enjoyed helping her father in the log woods and as an adult still enjoyed talking about those days. She also enjoyed horses and her family very much.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by two grandchildren: Steven Boyd Stewart and Clandis Ray Smith and her special friend and companion John Bargo; one brother Herman Stewart and two sisters Annitta Martin and Violet Smith.
Left to mourn her passing are two sons, Jason Stewart and Susie, and John Stewart of Gray, KY, three daughters, Jeannie Jackson and husband Jessie, Corbin, KY, Julie Leanor Stewart, Gray, KY, and JoSallie Smith & husband Clandis, Corbin, KY, one brother, George Stewart and wife Shirley, Gray, KY, and ten grandchildren, Makenzie, Paige, Emily, John Dillion, and Hannah Stewart, Justin and Josh Jackson, Savannah, Herman, Rebekah, and Johna Hensley. Eleanor also leaves behind a host of many other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral service for Ms. Stewart will be conducted on Saturday, June 9, 2012 @ 2:00 p.m. in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Darrel Bargo and Rev. Jim Bargo officiating. Burial will follow in the Stewart Family Cemetery at Bailey Switch, with nephews and friends serving as Pallbearers. Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.
