Mr. E. L. Pittman, age 73 of Girdler, KY departed this life on Wednesday April 11, 2007 in the Knox Co. Hospital.
He was the son of Alice Pittman Leimann and the late Sam Pittman born to them in Knox County on December 29, 1933. Mr. Pittman believed in the Baptist Faith. He was a Veteran of the United States Army and was a retired Brick Layer. In addition to his Father, he is preceded in death by one sister, Annette, one aunt, Jackie Williamson, and one uncle, Howard Ledford. Survivors include his Mother, Alice Leimann of Girdler, KY, three Aunts, Mae Lee of Girdler, KY, Ester Raney of Girdler, KY, Anne Chadwell and husband Rufus of Heidrick, KY, Ida Osborne and husband Pearl, Cincinnati, Ohio and Bertha Pittman of Maryland. Mr. Pittman also leaves behind a host of cousins and other relatives and friends to mourn his passing. Funeral services for Mr. Pittman will be conducted in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday at 2 00:p.m with Rev. Jimmy Siler and Rev. David Barnard officiating. Interment will be in the Hampton Cemetery at Girdler. Pallbearers will Reid Riley, Carl Daniels, Don Daniels, Harry Mays, David Payne and Scott Payne, Honorary Pallbearers will be Friends and Neighbors. Hampton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
