Edith Frederick

Mrs. Edith Frederick age 91 of Richmond, KY formerly of Trosper, KY departed this life on Sunday, December 6, 2009 in the St. Joseph Hospital in Berea. She was the daughter of Bill and Mattie Davis born to them on October 25, 1918 in Knox Co. Mrs. Frederick was baptized at the Barbourville Christian Church. She was a homemaker and loved to read and be with her family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Billie and Mattie Davis, three sons, Glenn Frederick, Jerry Frederick and Dan Frederick, two daughters, Carolyn Hamilton and Thelma Frederick, two brothers, Paris Davis and George Davis, three sisters, Mary Davis, Dorothy Rice and Myrtle Frederick.
Survivors include, two daughters Joann Storie and husband Allen of Richmond, and Aleene Elam of Tampa, Florida, five sons Harold Frederick and wife Betty of Woodbine, Don Frederick and wife Charlotte of Artemus, KY, Bob Frederick and wife Kathy of Gray, Tim Frederick of Trosper and Doug Frederick and wife Lynn of Trosper. She is also survived by twenty eight grandchildren and thirty great grandchildren, one step grandchild, four special grandchildren, Teresa, Terry, Jack & Kat and five step great grandchildren along with a host of many other relatives and friends.
Funeral service for Mrs. Edith Frederick will be conducted in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, December 9, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Ralph Schaffer officiating. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren. Honorary pallbearers will be Allen Storie, Steve Lewis and Bobby Frederick. Burial will be in the Burch Alford Cemetery at Trosper with Hampton Funeral Home in charge of all arrangements.

Friends will be received at the Hampton Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 11:00 a.m.
