Mr. Ed Brown age 66 of Scalf, KY passed away on Friday night April 24, 2009 at his home. He was the husband of Lillie (Epperson) Brown and the son of the late Charlie & Cleo (Mills) Brown born to them on March 30th, 1943 in Knox County. Ed was a logger and believed in the Holiness faith.
His parents Charlie & Cleo Brown, six brothers Goble, Victor, William, Hank, Owen, and Herman Brown preceded him in death. Two sisters Loretta Benton, and Dora Price.
Survivors include his wife Lillie of Scalf, KY, two sons Ed Junior Brown & wife Michelle, and
Herman Brown. Two daughters Betty Mills & husband Randall, Loretta Burnett & husband Donald all of Scalf, KY. One brother Bearl Brown & wife Hersie of Dewitt, KY, three sisters Francis Jean Brown, Pauline Brown, and Mary Brown & husband Glenn all of Scalf, KY, one sister-in-law Evelyn Brown of Mills Creek, KY, Eight Grandchildren Herman Brown, Zackery Brown, Nathen Brown, Logan Brown, Carl Richard Burnett, Ollis Burnett, William Bailey, and Deanna Bailey, and one Great-Grandchild Lillie Grace Bailey. She also leaves behind a host many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral services for Mr. Brown will be conducted on Tuesday – April 28, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Brian Miracle & Rev. Harold Jean Smith officiating. Pallbearers will be family & friends. Burial will follow in the Brown’s cemetery at Scalf, KY. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangement.
Friends will be received on Sunday evening from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m.
