Earnie Lucas Hammons

Earnie Lucas Hammons, age 17 of Dewitt, passed away on Monday, October 12, 2015. He was the son of Earnie and Priscilla Brown Hammons, born to them on Wednesday, October 7, 1998. Lucas attended Knox Central High School as a Junior where he was a member of the FFA and greatly enjoyed hunting, fishing, 4-wheeling, all sports, playing video games with his brother Calleb, spending time with his family and friends and fighting and arguing with his sister Megan.
Lucas is preceded in death by his son, Braydon Howard Hughes; his grandparents, Garrett and Geneva Brown, Elige Hammons, Corida and Frank Hammons, Otis and Minnie Mills, and one aunt, Lisa Hobbs.
He is survived by his parents: Earnie and Priscilla Hammons: One brother, Calleb Hammons: One sister, Megan Hammons, all of Hale Branch in Dewitt: His loving girlfriend, Autumn Hughes: His aunts and uncles: Billy Ray Castle, Elsie Brown of Barbourville, Preston Brown of Dewitt, Brenda and James Bailey of Barbourville, Mount and Debbie Brown of Dewitt, Russell and Donna Brown of Dewitt, Garrett Junior Brown of Dewitt, Fred Brown of Dewitt, Raymond and Helen Hammons of Dewitt, Frank Hammons of Artemus, Mossie Brown of Scalf, Kimberly Deaton of Cannon and Jed Brown of Scalf.
Lucas is also survived by his very special friends: Ben Mills, Ethan Mills, Daniel Blankenship, Andrew Brown and Cameron Brock: His special cousins, Jamie Brown, Elizabeth Collins, Austin Gray, Ryan Collins and Travis Hammons.
Funeral services for Earnie Lucas Hammons will be conducted on Friday, October 16, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Mike Collins and Rev. Alonzo Messer officiating. Burial will follow in the Frank Hammons Cemetery at Brices Creek with Ben Mills, Ethan Mills, Daniel Blankenship, Andrew Brown and Cameron Brock serving as pallbearers.
Friends may call at the Hampton Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 after 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M., Thursday, October 15, 2015 after 10:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M. and on Friday, October 16, 2015 after 10:00 A.M. until the funeral hour at 2:00 P.M.
