Mr. Earl Lee Miller, age 73, of Scalf, KY, departed this life on Friday, October 19, 2012, in the Knox County Hospital. He was the husband of Margaret Brown Miller, and the son of the late Floyd and Pearl Miller, born to them on June 12, 1939, in Bell County, KY.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Judy Hurts, two brothers, Gene Miller and Ernest Miller, two sisters, Ruby Smith and Bessie Miller Carnes, and two great-grandchildren, Leah Beth and Rashelle.
Left behind to mourn his passing are the following members of his family: His wife, Margaret, two sons, Earl Miller, Jr., Mt. Sterling, KY, and Robert Ray Crawford, Dewitt, KY, four daughters, Norma Jean Honeycutt and husband Alfred, Scalf, KY, Evelyn Crawford, Scalf, KY, May Elizabeth Smith and husband Darrell, London, KY, and Denise Flack, Mt. Sterling, KY, one brother, Arnold Miller, Manchester, KY, and one sister, Madelyn Frye, Bell County, KY. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, Stephanie, Nick, Shawn, Starliee, Earl Dean, Alfred, Cody, Samantha, Arjie, William Bishop, Jacob, Brian, six great-grandchildren, Emmanuelle, Charity, Chanel, Brayden, Josie, and Melia, and one great-nephew, Cleveland Brown, Scalf, KY.
Funeral services for Earl Lee Miller will be conducted in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, October 23, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Stoney Brown, Rev. Steven Brown, and Rev. Charles Carnes officiating. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Burial will follow in the Brown's Branch Cemetery, at Scalf, KY.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 21, from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m., on Monday from 9:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m., and on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m.
