Mrs. Dorthey Hamilton age 53 of Trosper, Ky., departed this life on Wednesday–July 02, 2008 in the Baptist Regional Medical Center in Corbin. She was the wife of George Hamilton and the daughter of the late Conley & Sallie (Lawson) West born February 2, 1955. Mrs. Hamilton had worked at the Corbin Nursing Home for 22 years as a Aid. She was a member of the Old Flat Lick Baptist Church. Her parents, and one brother Samuel West preceded Mrs. Hamilton in death.








Survivors include one son Walter Ray Hamilton & wife Amy of Swan Pond, Ky., two daughters Charlotte Carnes & husband Peanut of Walker, Ky., Michelle Leger & husband Rodney of London, Ky., four brothers Conley West, Jr. & wife Carol of Kansas city, Mo., Michael West & wife Barbara of Auburn Hills, MI., Rondal West & wife Darlene of Louisville, Ky., Tony West of Turkey Creek, Ky., three sisters Sandria Hensley of Barbourville, Ky., Kathy Morris & husband Donnie of Heidrick, Ky., Linda West of Barbourville, Ky., eight grandchildren Skylar, Tabitha, and Stephanie Carnes, Jakob, Julie, Kasy Leger, Zoey Hamilton, Jaylenn Adams, sister-in-laws Brenda Campbell, Barbara Bunch, Sally Ellen Sturdivant, one brother-in-law Clyde Hamilton, Special niece Tammy Hudson, nephew Christopher Witt, Special friends Doris & Clyde Langford, Patricia Warren and Mary White. Plus a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing. Funeral services for Mrs. Dorthey Hamilton will be conducted on Saturday – July 5, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Denvil Taylor & Rev. Ricky Partin and Rev. Justin Morris officiating. Burial will follow in the West Cemetery at Davis Bend with Family & Friends serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Corbin Nursing Home, Nurses & Staff, Commonwealth Cancer Staff, Mary mount Express Staff, and Baptist Regional Medical Center. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
