Mrs. Doris Ann Mills, age 58 of Mills, Ky. departed this life on Monday, April 9, 2007 at her home.
. She was born on October 18, 1948 in Knox Co. to Boss Mills and Liza (Saylor) Mills. She was the widow of Charles Edward Mills. Mrs. Mills was a homemaker and a member of the Salem Baptist Church where she had been a Sunday School teacher for twenty-two years. Mrs. Mills also enjoyed reading. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one brother John Mills, and one sister Evelyn Mills. Survivors include, two sons, Johnny “Buck” Mills of Mills, Ky., and Charles Mills and wife Natasha of Mills, Ky., one daughter Teresa Mayo and husband Kenneth of Mills, Ky. three grandchildren, Anthony Mayo, Jacob Charles Mills, and Madison Nicole Mills, one brother Jeff Mills, of Callebs Creek, four sisters Vercie Smith and husband Lloyd of Mills, Ky., Mahala Messer and husband Johnny of Mills, Ky., Barbara Sue Mills of Mills, Ky. and Helen Bingham of Salt Gum. Mrs. Mills also leaves behind a special host of relatives and friends to mourn her passing. Funeral services for Mrs. Doris Mills will be conducted on Thursday, April 12, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at the Salem Baptist Church with Rev. Bobby Abner & Rev. Teddy Collins officiating. Pallbearers will be Steve Mills, Marcus Kidwell, Pete Messer, Tony Mills, C.A. Mills, Jr. and Christopher Mills. Honorary pallbearers are the Staff of D.S.I. of Corbin, Ky., and Dr. Hasni. Interment will be in the Lige Mills Cemetery. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
