Mrs. Doris Faye Hibbard, age 60, of Flat Lick, KY departed this life on Tuesday, September 25, 2012, at her home. She was born on December 25, 1951, in Knox County, KY, the daughter of Samuel Garland and Elizabeth Hensley Garland. She attended the Church of God and enjoyed bingo, sewing, and playing with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Elizabeth Garland, and several brothers and sisters. Left to mourn her passing are her husband, Earl Hibbard, JR, two sons, Jerry Michael Hibbard and wife Jessica of Girdler, KY, and David Lee Hibbard, Girdler, KY, and one daughter, Sabrina Gail Hibbard, Flat Lick, KY, two brothers, Marvin Garland and wife Florence, Corbin, KY, and Tommy Garland of Michigan, and two sisters, Aileen Barton, Woodbine, KY, and Amanda Smallwood and husband Oakley, Barbourville, KY., and eight grandchildren. She also leaves behind a host of many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral services for Mrs. Doris Faye Hibbard will be conducted in the chapel of the Hampton Funeral Home on Friday, September 28, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Edd Wayne Gibson officiating. Pallbearers will be, Jerry Smith, Dale Jr. Hibbard, Michael Browning, Justin Smith, Shane Tye and Justin Hobbs. Honorary pallbearers will be Hospice of the Bluegrass. Burial will follow in the Hampton Cemetery at Girdler, KY. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
Friends will be received at the Hampton Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 6:00-9:00 p.m. and on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m.
