Denver Gray

Mr. Denver Gray age 73 of Brices Creek, departed this life on Tuesday, December 15, 2009 in the Pineville Community Hospital. He was the husband of Estelene (Gambrel) Gray and the son of Billy and Gussie Gray. He was born on July 20, 1936 in Knox Co., KY. He was a member of the Hinkle Branch Holiness Church and was retired from the Knox Co. Road Dept.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Billy and Gussie Gray and one infant brother.
Left behind to mourn his passing, his wife Estelene Gray of Brices Creek, three sons, Donnie Ray Gray of Jackson Co., Dallas Gray and wife Diana Gail of McWhorter and J.B. Gray of Gray, KY, one daughter, Sheila Jackson and husband Michael of Corbin, three brothers, Billy Gray, Jr. and wife Doris of Barbourville, Paul Gray and wife Pauline of Ohio and Mack Arthur Gray and wife Marsha of South Carolina, five sisters, Cora Mae Mills and husband Cleveland of Flat Lick, Lydia Beatty of Barbourville, Doris Smith and husband Lloyd of Bimble, Bernice and husband Rev. Charles Bright of Gray and Sue Bright and husband Earl of Barbourville, one granddaughter he raised Rebecca Leann Brown, seven grandchildren and eleven grandchildren. He also leaves behind a host of many other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral services for Mr. Denver Gray will be conducted in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, December 18, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. B.R. Smith and Rev. Charles Bright officiating. Pallbearers will be family. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Hayes and the nurses and staff of the Pineville Community Hospital. Mr. Gray will be laid to rest in the Henry Mills Cemetery at Road Fork. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.

Friends will be received at the Hampton Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m.
