Delores Bingham

Mrs. Delores Bingham, age 79, of Dewitt, KY, passed away on Sunday, March 31, 2013 in the Knox County Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Phoenix Messer and Hannah (Roop) Messer born to them on February 24, 1934, in Bell County, KY. She was a member of the Walker Baptist Church and a former employee of the Pineville Community Hospital, having worked and retired from there after thirty eight years in the O.B. and Nursery Department.
She was united in marriage with Garrett Bingham in 1950, and to this union four children were born. Garrett preceded her in death in 1990. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Shan, in 1956, and one brother, Waymond Messer.
Left behind to mourn her passing are two sons, Garrett Duane Bingham and wife Patricia Ann, Dewitt, KY, and Joseph Michael Bingham and wife Deborah, Dewitt, KY; one daughter, Annetta Stinnett and husband John, Lexington, KY; two brothers, Truman Messer and wife Geraldine, Walker, KY, and Phoenix Messer, Jr., Walker, KY, four sisters, Barbara Cutter, Florida, Loretta Gentry and husband Paul, London, KY, Shirley Faye Cunningham, Warren, Michigan, and Charlene Ferrell, Walker, KY; three grandchildren, Kyle Wade Bingham and wife Jonnie, Barbourville, KY, Justin Seth Bingham, Dewitt, KY, and Christopher Lake Stinnett, Lexington, KY, and two great grandchildren, Logan Garrett Bingham and Macie Elizabeth Bingham. Mrs. Bingham also leaves behind a host of many other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral services for Mrs. Delores Bingham will be conducted in the Hampton Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Ronald Howard, Rev. Bill Stewart, and Rev. Dennis Chesnut officiating. Burial will follow in the Binghamtown Cemetery, Dewitt, KY, with pallbearers being Dobbin Bingham, Terry Messer, Roy Elder, Marvin Ratliff, Esco Smith, and W.B. Hubbard. Honorary pallbearers will be the Walker Baptist Church Sunday School Class and Dr. Woolum. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
Friends may call at the Hampton Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m., and on Wednesday from 10:0 a.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m.
