David Hurst

Mr. David Henry Hurst age 56 of Dewitt, KY, passed away on Thursday – October 29, 2009 at his home he was the husband of Shirley (Bennett) Hurst and the son of the late Hobert & Loraine (Kelly) Hurst of Harlan, KY, born to them on July, 30th, 1953 in Hampton, Ohio. Mr. Hurst believed in the Baptist faith and enjoyed making people laugh.
He was preceded in death by his parents Hobert & Loraine Hurst, one brother Dennis Hurst, and one sister Sue Bennett.
Left behind to mourn his passing is: his wife Shirley Bennett of Dewitt, KY, one son James Michael Philpot of Dewitt, KY, two daughters Lisa Roop & husband Joseph of Dewitt, KY, Evelyn Maxie & husband Gary of Barbourville, KY, two brothers Roy Hurst & wife Nancy, of Harrodsburg, KY, Hobert Hurst , Jr of Dewitt, KY, two sisters Diana Bennett & husband Leroy and Karen Seals & husband Charles both of Lexington, KY, six grandchildren, and two step-grandchildren, Plus a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

Funeral services for Mr. David Hurst will be conducted on Monday – November 2nd, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at the Salem Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Smith officiating. Pallbearers will be Family & Friends. Burial will follow at the Julie Messer cemetery. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.

The Hurst family will receive friends on Sunday from 11:30 a.m. until the hour of service at 1:00 p.m. on Monday at the church.
