David Joseph Colyer age 36 of Corbin passed away Sunday, January 9, 2010 in Williamsburg, Ky. He was born on October 13, 1974 in Nashville, Tennessee to Douglas Wayne Joseph Colyer, Jr and Eva Marie Rice. He believed in the Pentecostal faith loved Camping, giving tattoos, swimming and fishing.
Survivors include his mother Eva Marie Rice of Corbin, Ky and his father Douglas Wayne Joseph Colyer of Dayton, Ky, one son Christian Joseph Colyer and one daughter Caitlyn Deesire Colyer both of Corbin. Two Brothers Douglas Lee Colyer of Corbin and Tim Wayne Colyer of Cincinnati, Ohio and one half brother Wayne Colyer of Newport, KY. Two half sisters Brandi Sue Colyer of Indiana and Crystal Colyer of Ohio and his grandparents Edgar and Shirley Havana Butler of Trosper. He is also survived by three nieces, three nephews and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral services for David Joseph Colyer will be conducted on Friday January 14, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. in the Hampton funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jeffery Sturdivant and Rev. Tim Hamilton officiating. Burial will follow in the Williams Cemetery at Trosper with Michael Brown, Nick Hembree, Chris Hembree, Carlos Butler, Nevel Grubb, Ernest Wilson, Terry Bullock, Corey Cecil Chuck Broyles and Michael Cecil serving as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be Friends and Neighbors. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangments.
The family will receive friends at Hampton Funeral Home on Thursday from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 1:00 p.m.
