Darlene Mills

Mrs. Darlene Mills age 54 of Mills, KY departed this life on Wednesday, September 23, 2009 in the Knox Co. Hospital. She was the wife of Johnny B. Mills and the daughter of Jim & Bertha (Mills) Gambrel born to them on August 30, 1955. Mrs. Mills was a member of the Salem Baptist Church. And was a homemaker.
Mrs. Mills was preceded in death by her parents Jim & Bertha Gambrel, one daughter Melissa Mills, one son David Anthony Mills, seven brothers Matthew Gambrel, J.B. Gambrel, Virgil Gambrel, Crit Gambrel, Obie Gambrel, Anthony Gambrel and Ernest Gambrel and three sisters Imogene Gambrel, Vaseline Gambrel and Mary (Gambrel) Mills.
Those left behind to mourn her passing is her husband Johnny B. Mills of Mills, KY, two sons Johnny Matthew Mills and fiancé Samantha Owens of Dewitt, KY, and Oscar Mills of Mills, KY, one brother R.P. Gambrel & wife Susie of Road Fork, KY, and one sister Mildred Brown & husband Evie of Mills, KY. Mrs. Mills also leaves behind a very special friend and a sister in Christ Mollie Hubbard. She also leaves behind a host of many other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral services for Mrs. Mills will be conducted on Saturday, September 26th, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Donnie Mills, Rev. Teddy Collins, and Rev. Jerry Smith officiating. Pallbearers will be family & friends. Burial will follow in the Mills Cemetery at Mills, KY. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.

Friends will be received at the Hampton Funeral Home Friday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m.
