Mr. Dallas Brown age 69 of Scalf, Kentucky departed this life on Monday, October 4, 2021 in the Baptist Health Hospital in Corbin, Kentucky. He was the son of Ed Gray and Cordia Brown and was born on February 23, 1952 in Knox County. On December 13, 1975, he united in marriage with Diane Mills and to this union two children were born. Dallas was a retired logger and farmer and was co-owner of D&D Grocery.

He is preceded in death by his parents Ed Gray and Cordia Brown, one brother, James Brown and three sisters-in-law, Evelyn Brown, Judy Brown and Betty Brown.

Left behind to mourn his passing, his wife Diane Brown of Scalf, his daughter, Alice Brown Honeycutt and husband Jonathan of Scalf, his son Leonard Ray “Punkin” Brown and fiance’ Tabatha Brafford of Artemus, three grandchildren, Adalis Jewel Honeycutt of Scalf, Logan Viars and Leonard Dallas Brown both of Artemus, one great grandson Kashton Ryker Hudson, five brothers, Bill Brown and wife Gerry Lynn of Flat Lick, General Brown and wife Delia of Scalf, Bradley Brown of Scalf, Jack (J.B.) Brown and wife Debbie of London and Bowman Brown of Scalf, a special sister-in-law and caregiver, Debbie Mills. He also leaves behind a host of many other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

Funeral services for Mr. Dallas Brown will be conducted in the Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, October 8, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Kennon Roark officiating. Pallbearers will be family & friends. Honorary pallbearers will be Mikey Gray, Jerry Gambrel, Lonnie Hubbard and Gary Hamilton. He will be laid to rest at the Cordia Brown Homeplace on Brown’s Branch. Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m., on Thursday from 12:00 noon until 9:00 p.m. and on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m.
