Mr. Curtis Warren, age 71 of Hazel Park, Michigan formerly of Knox Co., departed this life on Thursday, September 6, 2007 in the Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan. He is the husband of Betty Judd Warren and was the son of John A. Warren and Bertha Bingham Warren. He was born on January 17, 1936 at Walker, Ky. Mr. Warren had worked for the Central Outfitting Furniture Company in Detroit, Michigan for thirty eight years before retiring. He was a graduate of Knox Central High School and attended Union College here in Barbourville.
Mr. Warren is survived by one son, Curtis Roy Warren of Hazel Park, Michigan and one daughter, Judy Ann Warren of Royal Oak, Michigan, three grandchildren, Dennis Charles, Gina Marie and Veronica and one great grandchild, Chloe Ann Marie, four brothers, Jay Warren and wife Lily of Bimble, Ky., Bige Warren and wife Phyllis of Walker, Ky., Sol Warren of Boone Height, Ky. and Charles Warren and wife Juanita of Bargersville, Indiana, three sisters, Martha Riddle of Gray, Ky., Lois Mills and husband Otis of Newport, TN and Sally Cox and husband John of Hinkle, Ky. Mr. Warren also leaves behind a host of many other relatives and friends to mourn his passing. A Celebration of Curtis’s life will be held at Noon on Sunday, September 9, 2007 at the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel. Pallbearers will be nephews, family & friends. Mr. Warren will be laid to rest in the Mont G. Warren Cemetery at Walker, Ky. Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
